Sanamoxil-15 L.A (Injection)
INDICATIONS:
In vitro amoxycillin is effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram negative bacteria which include. Escheritia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae Proteus Spp, Salmonella Spp, Staphylococci and Streptococci. It is not effective against beta-lactamase produceing organisms. Sanamoxil-15 L.A injection is suitable for the control of infections due to susceptible micro-organisms in Cattle, Buffalo, Sheep, Goat, Dog, Cat and Pig where a single injection giving prolonged activity is required. It may also protect from secondary bacterial invasion due to sensitive organisms in cases where bacteria are not the initial cause of the disease.
Indications include infections of alimentary tract, respiratory tract, skin and soft tissue, urogenital tract and in prevention of post-operative infection (treatment before surgery).
COMPOSITION:
Each ml contains: Amoxycillin base 150 mg (as triyhydrate)
Dosage and Administration
Cattle, Buffalo, Sheep, Goat and Pig: Intramuscular injection only.
Dog and Cat: Subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.
The recommended dose rate is 15 mg per kg bodyweight, repeatable if necessary after 48 hours. Massage the injection site after injection.
If dose volume exceeds 20ml, it should be divided and injection into two sites observing the normal aseptic precaution.
Precautions For Use
- Shake well before use.
- Following withdrawal of first dose use the product within 25 days. Discard unused material.
- In common with other oil-based suspensions, this production does not contain an antimicrobial preservative. Swab the septum before removing each dose.
- Use a dry sterile needle and syringe to withdraw the close from the vial.
Withdrawal Period
Cattle, Buffalo: Meat 23 days. Milk 84 hours
Sheep/Goat: Meat 16 days. Milk: contra indication consumption.
Pig: Meat 16 days
STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store at room temperature protect from sunlight.
